Letter: Democrats’ agenda has a price tag

The Columbian

In 2005, Gov. Chris Gregoire, a Democrat, passed a gas tax plan that added 9.5 cents per gallon over four years. So, here we go again, with another Democrat, Gov. Jay Inslee, who wants another gas tax hike, of 10 to 11 cents a gallon. So why you may ask is this tax necessary? It is just another maneuver by the Democrats to get more money for their socialistic agenda.

There are more fuel-efficient cars and people are driving less due to fuel costs. Now, if people are driving less, then the highways and bridges should not be wearing out that fast. You see folks, do the right thing and it will cost you. Get the point?
