Clark softball spilts with Pierce

The Clark College softball team dodged raindrops to split a doubleheader with Pierce College at home.

Clark triumphed 9-6 in the first game, which was delayed by more than an hour.

Leadoff hitter Sam Oldham went 3-for-4 and Haley Hamilton had 3 RBI for the Penguins, which scored seven runs in the sixth inning.

Clark fell in the second game 7-6. Oldham, Hamilton and Sam Wagner each had two hits for the Penguins, who are 5-6 on the season.

Clark starts NWAACC league play Tuesday at Clackamas.
