Letter: Other fair days to choose from

The Columbian
Published: May 15, 2014, 5:00pm

The May 8 story reported “Rocker Nugent’s fair show canceled: Contractual issue, not citizen feedback, prompted decision.” It’s too bad Ted Nugent won’t be at the fair; too bad about the contractual agreement.

Of course, the left-wing Troy Maxcy is happy. (Maxcy started a petition on the liberal website MoveOn.org titled, “No Ted Nugent at the Clark County Fair.”) If Maxcy was or is so upset about a conservative singing at the fair, he could choose not to go that day. As usual left-wingers want everyone to be like or think like them. If they don’t want something, no one else should have it either.

I am conservative and I don’t push my views on everyone. If you want to be a whacked-out liberal, you can. I only wish you could be more open-minded and let others have an opinion and not shut out everything that you don’t agree with.
