SEATTLE — Seattle police say 5 people were left wounded after handguns were used during a University District fight early Saturday.

Investigators say a group of people gathered in front of a bar and began arguing around 2:30 a.m. One of them punched a man in the face. The man punched then produced a handgun and began firing. Another person took out a second gun and began firing as well.

Police say more than 20 rounds were exchanged.

The suspect fled on foot and police dogs lost track of him in Ravenna Park.

Three of the wounded were taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Another person was treated at the scene. A fifth person was dropped off at Harborview around 3 a.m.
