VANCOUVER

November is “Focus on Education” month in Washington, and the Evergreen district will kick it off with a Monday event at Shahala Middle School.

The 5 p.m. public seminar at Shahala, 601 S.E. 192nd Ave., is a 30-minute talk: “How is your child’s brain wired to learn in the changing digital age?”

Monday’s session will be followed by a number of school and community events highlighting Evergreen Public Schools.

They include events at Whole Foods Market; Veterans Day celebrations at schools around the district; a community tour of three schools in the district (Russian translation will be available); and theater and choir performances.

For a complete list of events, visit the district website at www.evergreenps.org.
