Gasoline prices held steady in Vancouver and the state of Washington last week, but they remain at the lowest level in nearly four years going into the Thanksgiving holiday season, AAA Oregon/Idaho reported Tuesday.
Vancouver’s average price for a gallon of unleaded regular was $3.02 per gallon, unchanged from a week ago. The state average, also unchanged, is $3.10 per gallon. Oregon’s price dropped a half-cent to $3.07 per gallon, AAA reported.
Washington and Oregon prices are still among the nation’s highest, with Washington remaining 10th highest and Oregon moving up two spots to 12th highest average price.
The national average for regular unleaded is $2.88, and the average has been below $3 a gallon in the AAA survey for 17 consecutive days. More than three-quarters of U.S. gas stations are reporting prices below $3 per gallon.
