Battle Ground — Battle Ground Public Schools students in the district’s Aspire Program recently wrote and performed a script in front of parents and peers for their Readers Theater project. Third- and fourth-graders in Captain Strong Primary’s Aspire magnet program for students identified as highly capable worked together to write a script called “The Animal Defense Convention” and later read from it during a performance. Nominations for first- through 12th-grade students to join Battle Ground Public Schools’ Aspire Program, which tests kids once a year to identify those who would benefit from accelerated learning, will be accepted until Dec. 5.
