A Vancouver kickboxing gym is hosting “Kick for the Cure” to raise money for the local nonprofit Pink Lemonade Project.
The gym, 9Round Vancouver, will donate one penny for every kick recorded during the event. Organizers hope to raise $1,000 for the Vancouver nonprofit dedicated to educating and empowering breast cancer survivors.
The event is from 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 16 at 9Round Vancouver, 2714 N.E. 114th Ave. Suite 2. People can stop by anytime during the day to participate; new rounds begin every three minutes.
The event is free. Participants must be at least 14 years old.
