LAKEWOOD — Police say a 20-year-old Lewis-McChord soldier was jailed for investigation of manslaughter after a shooting Thursday night killed a 19-year-old woman at their apartment in Lakewood.
Sklyar Nemetz told Lakewood detectives he thought the gun was unloaded when he pointed it at her and pulled the trigger.
Neighbors said they heard a shot, screaming and then Nemetz calling for help.
The woman died at the scene.
