Letter: Freshen up the city

The Columbian
Published: September 4, 2014, 5:00pm

Our community has the look of a decaying city. Weeds and debris are on street medians, roadsides and public spaces. These are fire hazards.

What happened to basic services? Our elected officials apparently are oblivious to the eyesores. Do they expect to attract new businesses to our community? Will prospective families, especially those with children, feel safe living in such surroundings? Do you, taxpayers of Vancouver, feel confident that your hard-earned tax dollars are being well-spent? Are you proud to live here?
