Spotlight on Youth

Scholarships

Michael Ash, son of Shawn-Marie and David Ash, received a $6,000 dean’s tuition award at Central Washington University; a $250 music scholarship from the Clark County Music Teachers Association; a $400 Oregon Teachers Music Association scholarship; a $259 scholarship from Vancouver USA Singers, and a $250 scholarship from Davidson and Associates Insurance. He will study music education and vocal performance at Central Washington University. Ash is a 2014 graduate of Columbia River High School.

Molly Bosch, daughter of Bridget and Rick Bosch and a 2014 graduate of Columbia River High School, will study nursing at Gonzaga University in Spokane. She was awarded a $2,500 BECU scholarship, a $4,000 Vancouver Rotary Club scholarship, and a $13,000 dean’s scholarship from Gonzaga University.

Austin T. Chang, a 2014 graduate of Mountain View High School, has won a Merit Scholarship award sponsored by Solvay, an international chemicals and pharmaceuticals group. He plans to study electrical engineering.

Alexander Hansen, a 2014 graduate of Columbia River High School, was awarded a $36,000 Bruin Achievement Award. He plans to study business finance at George Fox University. He is the son of Leslie and Rex Hansen.
