Letter: Revelation late for effective action

The Columbian
Published: September 24, 2014, 5:00pm

President Obama made a startling statement concerning ISIS. He stated, “this is not America’s fight alone.” How profound. If he had left a withdrawal transitional force in Iraq, this current situation would not have happened. But as usual, he does not listen to the military commanders, but only those anti-military people who surround him.

Now maybe, instead of running all over the world apologizing for Americans’ arrogance, he may finally be getting the point. Again, too late. Of course, most Democrats do not care about security until the enemy is in their backyards. Then they will scream for help. Yes, the military.
