SEATTLE — A new Amazon.com office building under construction in Seattle will be warmed by the Internet, in a sense.
Heated water from the cooling system at a data center in another downtown building will be piped through Amazon offices and then recycled.
The Seattle Daily Journal of Commerce reported the system is being constructed by Eco District LLC, a partnership of Clise Properties, which owns the building with the data center, and mechanical contractor McKinstry, which is designing the water heat transfer system.
