SEATTLE — A 26-year-old Seattle University nursing student accused of leaving notes threatening to bomb campus buildings has been ordered held in lieu of $50,000 bail.

The Seattle Times reports Mai Thi Bach Nguyen, of Skyway, is being held in King County Jail on investigation of threats to bomb and felony harassment.

Court documents show police found four notes in restrooms at Seattle University on Friday, threatening the placement of bombs at two campus buildings. Both buildings were evacuated and searched for bombs, but none were found.

On Saturday, staff at Swedish Medical Center’s Cherry Hill facility reported finding a note threatening to shoot doctors and others.

Nguyen was arrested after she was identified from surveillance video.

Court documents show she reportedly told detectives she wrote the notes but didn’t intend to carry out the threats.
