Alaska adds PDX flights to K.C., Twin Cities, Omaha, Neb.

Alaska Airlines will add daily nonstop service beginning in February from Portland International Airport to three Midwest metro areas: Kansas City, Mo., Minneapolis-St. Paul and Omaha, Neb.

The daily flights will be operated by SkyWest Airlines with 76-seat E175 jets featuring 12 seats in first class and 64 in coach. Onboard amenities will include Alaska Beyond Delicious, featuring food and beverages sourced with items from iconic Pacific Northwest brands, and Inflight Internet access.

The planes are also equipped with Alaska Beyond Entertainment, which offers free and premium entertainment direct to customer devices. First class customers will also have power outlets at each seat.

The schedule in local times, with service beginning Feb. 18:

Portland to Kansas City, Mo., 9:35 a.m. departure and 2:59 p.m. arrival; return at 3:40 p.m. and arrival at 5:45 p.m.

Portland to Minnesotas’s Twin Cities, 10:55 a.m. departure and 4:16 p.m. arrival; return at 5 p.m. and arrival at 7:08 p.m.

Portland to Omaha, Neb., 6:50 p.m. departure and 11:49 p.m. arrival; return the next day at 7 a.m. and arrival at 8:45 p.m.

To celebrate the service, introductory one-way fares are offered beginning at $139 if purchased by Wednesday. Reservations can be made at alaskaair.com.

Alaska Airlines also announced last month it will add new service Nov. 5 between PDX and Austin, Texas.
