Letter: Safety is supreme concern

Picture this scenario … Jerusalem, 2000 years ago.

The Cross. The man who is to be our Savior. He’s wearing a white robe. He’s ready to be crucified, but wait … from under his robe he pulls out an AK-47, and guns down all of those who were ready to nail him to the Cross.

The Second Amendment has been fulfilled, and Jesus has the backing of the National Rifle Association because he needed no background check.

Blessed are the Christians, but wait, since Christ never died on the Cross to take away our sins, then who will? The NRA?

Give that a long and deep thought. Christians who think having guns is the way to protect our individual safety, look back to the day Jesus was crucified, or not crucified.

Those without sin, cast the first stone. Or bullet. Choose well.
