Girls basketball: Mountain View 45, Thomas Jefferson 29

Strong defense carried the Thunder to the non-league win over the visitors from Auburn.

“It was a good team defensive effort,” Mountain View coach Mat Clark said. “They made the game plan work.”

After being down 10-9 after the first quarter, Mountain View held Jefferson to one point in the second quarter.

Christina Lundy had eight points to top a balanced scoring effort for the Thunder.
