Letter: Contrary opinion needs to be heard

The Columbian
Published: February 27, 2015, 12:00am

I very much value reading comments by syndicated columnist Thomas Sowell, and encourage The Columbian to keep printing him. His views are not politically correct by liberal standards but that is not a reason to dismiss him. He doesn’t go along with the liberal welfare state agenda that is corrupting this country’s people and financially bankrupting us.

With roughly half of the population now dependent on government support, someone needs to discuss the issue, before we all end up wards of the state. It is a voice that needs to be heard, lest we end up a socialist society.
