Letter: Local chapter active with veterans

The Columbian
Published: December 31, 2014, 4:00pm

In response to the Dec. 28 letter “Requirements exclude noncombat” by Allen Bennett Russell, there is camaraderie among veterans, and I can prove it. I am a Korean War veteran, a former membership chairman, a service officer, still a director, and a founder of a new committee called Veterans’ Outreach.

Serving in Korea, Bennett Russell definitely qualifies for membership in the Korean War Veterans of America. Our Clark County Chapter 321 has an average of 100 members and has an active activity schedule. If you contact me, I would be happy to meet with you (The Columbian Opinion page email can forward a request.) And bring along some other members, also.

Remember, you are not alone.
