Boys basketball: Evergreen 54, Skyview 52

Greg Washington’s layup at the buzzer won it for the host Plainsmen.

The winning basket came after a Skyview turnover. Evergreen’s Kobey Eaton saved the ball from going out of bounds and sent the ball to Washington for a breakaway basket.

Marcus Lord led Skyview with 25 points, and tied the score with a free throw on a technical foul with 12 seconds left.

Washington led Evergreen with 13 points, Jordan Henderson scored 12 and Eaton finished with 11.

The Storm led 11-2 early in the game, but the Plainsmen closed to within 15-12 by the end of the first quarter. Evergreen led by three at halftime and by six points at the end of the third quarter.
