Boys basketball: Evergreen 92, Mountain View 72

Robert Franks scored 45 points and grabbed 21 rebounds to lead the visiting Plainsmen.

Franks scored 10 or more points in each quarter and made five deep 3-point shots.

“It’s hard to contend with when a guy that talented has it going,” Mountain View coach Aaron Shepherd said.

A second-quarter surge put Evergreen up 13 at halftime. Mountain View got to within eight points in the third quarter before Evergreen pulled away.

Jordan Henderson scored 14 points, including several dunks, and Greg Washington had 10 for the Plainsmen.

For Mountain View, Ari Smith scored 22 points, Anthony Dizon 16 and Jake Ryan 14. Corey Henderson finished with 11 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots.
