Boys basketball: Heritage 68, Hood River 53

Mark Bejan scored 10 of his 15 points in the first quarter to get the Timberwolves off to a hot start in a non-league road game.

Heritage led 20-7 after one quarter and 41-19 by halftime. Fourteen of Payton Monda’s 17 points came in the second and third quarters.

“We shot the ball extremely well, and got up on them early,” Heritage coach Scott Preuninger said.
