Surveillance at bank in Fred Meyer captures robbery suspect

Detectives are investigating a robbery at a bank inside a Fred Meyer in the Hudson’s Bay neighborhood that occurred Monday afternoon.

A man entered the U.S. Bank, located inside the Fred Meyer at 2500 Columbia House Blvd., at about 4:30 p.m. Monday, according to Vancouver police.

The man approached the teller, presented a note and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot, according to police.

Responding officers did not locate the suspect, but surveillance cameras captured images of him.

Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 7 inches tall who was wearing a red hat and sunglasses. He had a ring and a tattoo on his left ring finger.
