A woman was transported to a local hospital with a gunshot wound on Monday afternoon. Few details were available about what transpired during the incident reported in rural Brush Prairie.

The injury was reported at 2:31 p.m. when the woman arrived at her house, which is off Northeast Rawson Road in the Hockinson area near a rifle shooting range, according to emergency radio traffic. She was awake and talking despite the wound.

Clark County sheriff’s Sgt. Fred Neiman said there weren’t any additional details available Monday.

The major crimes unit is investigating what happened.
