The Feral Cat Coalition of Oregon is offering free spaying and neutering services for feral cats during February. Those taking care of feral or stray cats in the area can get the cats spayed or neutered, vaccinated and treated for fleas at the nonprofit’s north Portland clinic.

Last year, the coalition fixed 723 cats from Clark County. The monthlong campaign highlights the importance of spaying and neutering pets to control overpopulation.

The coalition has humane traps available to catch cats that are too wild to be handled.
