I saw the picture of our Rep. Liz Pike, R-Camas, wearing a pin resembling an assault rifle with a high-capacity magazine, saying she was opposed to the background check law. Is she saying she supports felons being able to buy assault rifles with high-capacity magazines without background checks? Not sure what she is protesting.
I favor background checks and registration of firearms. Having grown up with firearms and still owning them, I will be the first in line if government tries to take our arms. I try to keep up with the current happenings and have never heard of our government wanting to take guns from law-abiding citizens.
Heaven help us responsible gun owners if the clowns protesting in Olympia recently are somehow held up as “normal” gun owners.
