Several strategies for tracking down ‘The 100’

You have questions. I have some answers.

I am hoping you can find season two of this program “The 100” for me. I have Googled it and know that I can buy each episode on Amazon.com or on Hulu, but I do not subscribe to either and am hoping I might be able to find it on Netflix (no luck yet) or on TV. I recently watched the 13th and last episode of season one on Netflix and got hooked.

The second season of the series on the CW is not done yet. New episodes are airing right now, so a release of the current, second season on disc will have to wait until the current round is done. As you saw, the second season is available for streaming as the episodes come along on Amazon Instant and Hulu Plus; it is also on iTunes. You may also want to check your TV provider’s on-demand channels to see if it is available that way. (Not all programs are available on demand from all providers.)

What happened to “The Little Couple” on TLC? The season premiere was Dec. 2, and then by Jan. 6 the season ended?

As I have said here before, television shows run for different numbers of episodes and with increasing frequency split their seasons into short blocks of programs. The six episodes that you saw are only part of the current season. Seven episodes remain. The series will be back sometime in the spring; TLC has not yet announced the return date.

On “Downton Abbey,” why is the character of Rose still living with the Crawleys? What happened to her own parents?

Lady Rose MacClare, played by Lily James, is the daughter of Hugh and Susan MacClare. Hugh, also known as Shrimpy, is part of the Foreign Office and has been sent to India. Susan went with him, but Rose stayed behind and has been living with the Crawleys. There are changes coming for Rose as she embarks on a new romance and for her parents, as they return to England this season.

I remember watching the “Cinderella” made-for-TV movie in the ’60s starring Lesley Ann Warren. I have tried to find a copy to purchase, but cannot do so.

The 1965 production was released on an authorized, reasonably priced “50th anniversary edition” DVD in September, under the title “Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella.” If your local store does not have it, check online retailers. This is one of several TV presentations drawing on the composers’ music. Others include a 1957 version starring Julie Andrews and one from 1997 with Brandy Norwood. Both of those are also on DVD.

I am an avid fan of the Discovery Fit and Health Network’s show “Bodies in Motion” by Gilad. Our local cable company has replaced the 6 a.m. showing of “Bodies in Motion” with “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant”(!?!). What happened?

Discovery Fit & Health is no more. It is now Discovery Life and running shows such as “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant,” “My Mom Is Obsessed” and “Bizarre ER” — in general terms, shows about changing lives and how people deal with those changes. “Bodies in Motion” has a website, www.bodiesinmotionwithgilad.com.
