Clark County councilors are seeking applicants for three open positions on the county’s Railroad Advisory Board.

The three positions are all for current, unexpired terms. The three terms will expire at the end of 2015, 2016 and 2017, respectively.

The 15-member Railroad Advisory Board focuses on the 33-mile railroad known as the Chelatchie Prairie Railroad, which the county owns. The board advises county leaders on issues including how to achieve a return on investment in the railroad, economic development and the concerns of people affected by it.

The county is seeking applicants with experience in industrial real estate development, brokerage, land-use law and neighborhood association participation. The board meets at 4 p.m. on the second Monday of every month at the Clark County Public Service Center, 1300 Franklin St. in Vancouver.

Applicants should submit a letter of interest and résumé by mail to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Councilors, P.O. Box 5000, Vancouver, WA 98666 or by email to jennifer.clark@clark.wa.gov. Applications are due by 5 p.m. Feb. 23.
