Steelhead angling contest scheduled

KALAMA — Registration is open through July 29 for the Coastal Conservation Association’s 2015 Summer Steelhead Challenge fishing event July 31 through Aug. 2.

Entry fees are $25 for CCA members, $55 for non-CCA members and $35 for youth non-CCA members.

Prizes will be $1,000 for the largest steelhead, $500 for the runner-up and $300 for third place. The largest fish caught by a woman will earn $250 as will the largest caught by a youth.

The weigh-in and awards barbecue will be at the Port of Kalama Marina and day park.

Entry forms are available at Bob’s Sporting Goods in Longview, Harper’s Bait and Tackle in Woodland and Kalama Spirits, Tobacco, Bait and Tackle in Kalama.
