The Vancouver Watersheds Alliance is looking for some help making Vancouver Lake a healthy, beautiful spot for everyone.

Come out to a volunteer work party on Friday, July 17 to scoop up trash and enjoy a free lunch when you’re done.

Meet at the Heron shelter — that’s the nothernmost one in the park — at 9 a.m. Friday; you can park in the nearest overflow parking lot. Dress for the weather and bring comfortable work shoes and reusable water bottles. Gloves, trash bags and grabbers will be provided.

At noon, New Seasons will provide a free lunch and cold beverages. This outing is held in partnership with the Lower Columbia River Estuary Partnership and Clark County Parks, and is sponsored by the city of Vancouver, Clark County and the Port of Vancouver.
