Published: July 21, 2015, 5:00pm

For the first time, Clark College in the Gorge is offering an evening class; the Computer Assisted Drafting and Design section begins fall quarter.

Now in its second year, the Bingen campus added the weeknight course in response to feedback from the Gorge communities that wanted greater access to Clark’s CADD program. The Bingen campus will continue to offer Saturday classes to students who began the program last fall.

Fall classes are:

• Engineering 140: Basic AutoCAD, 6 to 9:15 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.

• CADD 240: Mechanical Drafting, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The CADD program is partially paid with a state grant to help two-year and technical colleges prepare future employees in the aerospace field. Students may take individual classes in the AutoCAD and SolidWorks software programs or pursue a certificate or Associates of Applied Science degree.

Now it’s possible for students to earn an Associates of Arts degree completely online through Clark College. For information visit www.clark.edu/academics/eLearning/aa_online

Fall quarter registration is open at www.clark.edu/enroll/admissions/quick_step.php.
