SPOKANE — Spokane police say an SUV swerved onto a sidewalk, striking and killing a 68-year-old woman who was pushing a stroller.
Cmdr. Brad Arleth said the woman died at the scene Tuesday morning, while a 4-year-old boy who was with her suffered minor injuries.
Brandon P. Pratt, 34, was arrested by Spokane police on suspicion of vehicular homicide, according to Spokane County Jail records. Police suspect he was driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
The Spokane County medical examiner’s office identified the pedestrian as Marla Langley. Police said she was related to the boy.
