“The Elixir of Love,” noon street fair, 7:30 p.m. performance. The Portland Opera presents a love story set in the Wild West, as love-sick Nemorino decides to take desperate measures because Adina keeps rebuffing him, especially with Sergeant Belcore riding into town. Nemorino invests in a salesman’s love elixir. Sung in Italian with English titles projected above the stage.
