• Clark County Public Health Department seeks bilingual/bicultural health advocates to provide culturally competent services to pregnant women. Volunteers will be trained to help clients complete applications, access health care and make appointments.

• Empower Up is looking for donation specialists to greet and assist customers, sort donated material and answer phones. A volunteer coordinator assistant is needed to update schedules and database and deliver presentations.

• NatureScaping of Southwest Washington seeks groundskeepers to mow, weed and prune, and maintain and clean tools.

• Volunteer Chore Services needs drivers to provide transportation to seniors and adults with disabilities to essential appointments and errands.

• YWCA needs volunteers in its Court Appointed Special Advocate, Safe Choice, Sexual Assault and WORTH programs.

WSU Clark County Extension seeks participants in the Master Food Preservers program, to be trained as volunteer master food preservers. Seven weeks of mandatory training will be from 8:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Fridays, April 17 to June 5. There will be an orientation, 6 to 7:30 p.m. March 23 at The Heritage Farm, 1919 N.E. 78th St., Vancouver. Clark County councilors seek to fill a position on the Columbia River Gorge Commission. Applicants must live in Clark County. The term will begin July 1, and end June 30, 2019. Columbia River Gorge Commission members make decisions on land use applications, hear appeals of county land use decisions, and review and modify the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area Management Plan. Meetings are on the second Tuesday of each month at various locations in the gorge, and as needed. To apply, submit a letter of interest and résumé to Jennifer Clark, Board of County Councilors, P.O. Clark County seeks to fill three openings on its Commission on Aging. The commission provides leadership in addressing needs of people older than 60 while implementing the county’s Aging Readiness Plan. Volunteer service is for a three-year term. Clark County residents with experience in advocating for seniors, launching new programs, public speaking or serving on boards and commissions are encouraged to apply. The commission meets 3:30 to 6 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month.
