GRESHAM, Ore. — Gresham police have released a sketch of one of two suspects in the killing of a 25-year-old man.

Erick Carnegie was found dead May 11 after a report of a disturbance that ended with gunfire. An autopsy determined he died of gunshot wounds to head and neck.

Police say Carnegie had a marijuana-growing operation with lots of customers.

The suspect in the sketch is an African-American man believed to be 5-foot-8 and about 165 pounds. He had a goatee and was wearing a burgundy sweat shirt. Police don’t have a sketch of the second suspect.

As for the witness who provided the description to a police artist, Gresham Police Lt. Claudio Grandjean declined to say how close that person was to the crime scene. But he says detectives are confident the witness is reliable.
