A teacher at Evergreen High School is being investigated for alleged inappropriate behavior, according to an email sent to parents of students at the school.

Lisa Emmerich, principal at the high school, told parents that administrators received information about the alleged behavior on Monday and contacted Vancouver police. Officers are investigating the allegations, Emmerich said.

The police investigation centers around potential voyeurism associated with an inappropriate photo, said Kim Kapp, spokeswoman for the Vancouver Police Department.

The school resource officer took the initial report, but the case has since been forwarded to a detective in the agency’s digital evidence cybercrimes unit, Kapp said.

The teacher in question is on paid administrative leave, Evergreen Public Schools spokeswoman Gail Spolar said.

The high school’s last day is scheduled for Wednesday, with students in classes until 9:45 a.m. Seniors, however, graduated Monday.

Emmerich said in the email that Evergreen High School is fully cooperating with the investigation and will take necessary actions based on the findings of that investigation.
