Letter: Columnist’s focus misguided

The Columbian
Published: June 24, 2015, 12:00am

Apparently, Kathleen Parker, in her June 18 opinion column, “With Jeb Bush, the third time could be the charm,” has to protect her children from the influence of the Clintons. While my son was getting shot at in Fallujah, Iraq, because of the Bush family, she was worried about blue dresses, etc. There are 4,800 dead soldiers under the George W. Bush presidency, none of them killed while wearing a blue dress, and 38,000 maimed soldiers. What kind of moral compass does someone have who worries more about a private matter then an unnecessary war? Parker is a ridiculously unintelligent woman.
