KENNEWICK, Wash. (AP) — Police in Kennewick, Washington, say a 22-year-old woman from nearby Walla Walla was apparently abducted from a grocery store parking lot.

The Tri-City Herald reports that police say Samantha Noethe was forced out of a black BMW by a man Thursday morning, pushed into another vehicle and driven away.

Police later said her husband, 31-year-old Paul Gross, was sought for investigation of domestic violence assault.

No motive was suggested. Police say the couple have two children.

Kennewick police Sgt. Ken Lattin says “it’s safe to say this was a violent encounter.” The scene was captured on the store’s security cameras and an employee watched it happen.

Lattin says the video showed at least two other vehicles trying to box in the BMW. The woman was shown crashing into vehicles as she tried to get away.
