Weather Eye: Seasons have turned and spring’s blooming right before us

Spring has sprung, the grass has ris’, I wonder where the birdies is? Spring. The elusive season of change. Sometimes wintry and sometimes, well, sometimes spring-like.

The forecast this week mixes a season past and a season present. Mountain snow will fall down to pass levels and maybe a foot or more of snow will cover the barren slopes in the higher regions.

Showers will dampen the lowlands. We’ll add in some sunshine, and rainbows perhaps for a splash of color.

Even the smallest creatures of the land are emerging in this fairytale season. Delicate fern fronds uncurl. Buds swell, bursting into life.

There is no doubt that the seasons have changed. The sun’s rays share their warmth and comfort upon the Earth.

The water cycle is in constant motion. Invisible drops of moisture rise, giving life to the clouds. Inevitable drops of moisture fall and run to the sea. Then it performs an encore just for you and me.

Spring is a favorite mix in Nature’s package of seasons. A new beginning but at the same time a proven recipe. A bit of spice and flavorings added to life, guaranteed to taste right. The breeze against your face. The sounds of frogs and birds in your ear. The touch and feel of soft green grass are near. The aroma of pink blossoms. Gaze at the moving clouds drawing nigh. And you still wonder why?

Spring is on center stage and you are cordially invited. The weather entertains and Nature provides the refreshments. The admission is free. Won’t you join me?
