Letter: Many conspire to get results

Let’s clarify what a “conspiracy theorist” is. First, we must define the word “conspiracy.” Two or more people getting together to do something, usually nefarious in nature, is what you’ll find in any dictionary. But over time, people assume the word means “fringe” or “delusional.”

Name one historical act in history that was done solely by one man and you’ll find he or she most likely had some form of help (conspiracy) to make it all happen. Instead of “lone wolf” or “lone nut,” which are terms used to sway your attention away, think “patsy” or “dupe.”

I find it embarrassing that so many people have such little interest in history and delving into information about how corruption works, yet these same people will tell you how great it is to be free. Those same people will tell you that giving up liberty and freedoms to be “safe” is a good thing.

Conspiracy theorists disagree with that thinking. Maybe that is why we are reviled and laughed at — because we are above such nonsense.
