MARYSVILLE — When Marysville police rounded up suspects during an early morning break-in at Marysville-Pilchuck High School, they found a 9-year-old boy among the group.

Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux says it’s not unusual to find teens out that late but they don’t often find kids that young.

The Daily Herald of Everett says the suspects are accused of breaking into the student store around 2:15 a.m. Monday to steal about $400 worth of candy, chips, drinks and school supplies. One of them reportedly told police they did it because they were hungry.

Two 18-year-olds, one from Tulalip and another from Puyallup, were booked into Snohomish County investigation of burglary.

A 15-year-old Marysville boy was taken to a juvenile detention center. His 9-year-old brother was turned over to their mother.
