Man wounded in Vancouver shooting

Victim, 26, is expected to survive his injuries, police said

A man was shot late Friday night in Vancouver but is expected to survive his injuries, the Vancouver Police Department reported Saturday.

The shooting occurred at 11:50 p.m. in the 3400 block of U Street, in Vancouver’s Rose Village neighborhood, according to a police bulletin.

The shooting occurred after a party at a home on U Street spilled into the streets, according to emergency radio traffic.

The victim, a 26-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with wounds not believed to be life threatening, the police bulletin said. The man’s name was not released.

The shooting remains under investigation, but officers do not believe there is a threat to the general public related to this incident, the bulletin said.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call 911.
