Letter: Foresee a disaster in the making

I agree with The Columbian’s call for the resignation of commissioners with the Port of Vancouver.

And for those who think this is a tempest in a teapot (Dome scandal in the early 1920s?) just look at the photos of the coast at Santa Barbara, Calif. A few tank cars spilled into the Columbia River will not foul a strip of bathing beaches; the current will carry the pollution across and downriver, possibly as far as Astoria, Ore. The Oregon side and all the islands in between will also share the brunt, not to mention the poor salmon.
