A man appeared in Clark County Superior Court on Monday in two separate cases, including one in which he allegedly hit a man in the face with a crowbar.

Robert H. Kohlstrunk, 34, a transient, appeared on suspicion of second-degree assault and first-degree criminal impersonation. The allegations will be filed separately, however.

Kohlstrunk is accused of striking a man, identified in court records as Anthony Murray, on Wednesday. Murray reportedly suffered a laceration and fracture to his left eye socket and was hospitalized, a probable cause affidavit stated.

In the other case, Kohlstrunk allegedly lied to police about his identity on three separate occasions after being warned about illegal camping, according to a second probable cause affidavit. Police later realized Kohlstrunk was impersonating a California man, court records said.

Judge Scott Collier ordered Kohlstrunk be held on a total of $80,000 bail, court documents showed.

Kohlstrunk will be arraigned Nov. 13.
