Earthquake rattles south-central Alaska

ANCHORAGE, Alaska — The Alaska Earthquake Center says a light earthquake Friday morning shook southcentral Alaska and was widely felt in the region.

The earthquake occurred at 5:26 a.m. and was centered 19 miles northeast of Willow and 24 miles southeast of Talkeetna.

The Alaska Earthquake Center says it had a preliminary magnitude of 4.5 and was about 28 miles deep.

The quake was felt in Anchorage.

The center took no reports of damage.
