A Felida house was damaged after an early-morning fire Tuesday.

The homeowner at 703 N.W. 117th St. called 911 at about 4:20 a.m. to report that his front living room was on fire, Clark County Fire District 6 Battalion Chief Todd Iremonger said.

The occupant got himself out of the house with his two dogs, Iremonger said, and crews arrived to find the house on fire.

Firefighters doused the blaze, which had gotten up into the attic of the 1,200-square-foot ranch house, Iremonger said.

The house sustained fire damage to the living room, mud room and garage, as well as smoke damage throughout, Iremonger said.

Investigators with the Clark County Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating what caused the fire.
