North County — More than 100 students from 15 school districts visited Woodland High School on Nov. 7 for the school’s floriculture career development event, in which students competed in a variety of competitive events, such as floral arrangement and product display challenges. Other activities included mock job interviews, advertising and media design, plant identification tests and one-on-one selling challenges. Woodland High School senior Kyra Koistinen organized the event. Community members, including local florists and past competitors at local floral competitions, volunteered as judges for the event.
