Letter: Socializing helps those with disease

Kudos to the Mill Creek Pub for their compassion when it comes to people with dementia. What a wonderful treat for those who have lost some of their filter from this disease but still need to socialize. The Nov. 20 story “Pub welcomes diners with dementia” has helped a lot of people understand that people with dementia are human, too. My late husband would have enjoyed the outing. I always carried a note explaining my husband’s condition when we traveled to help others understand some of the challenges facing patients.
