SEATTLE — A Seattle officer has been fired after lying about an equipment bag he reported stolen but later found in a pile of clothes in his laundry room.
Seattlepi.com reports the 31-year department veteran, Ernest Hall, was fired in August after being placed on leave in February.
Police reports say Hall reported his bag stolen in October 2014. The bag contained several items, including his firearm, radio and ammunition.
Hall later told police his bag was returned to him. But police reports say Hall made contradictory statements about how he got it back.
