The Southwest Washington Regional Transportation Council board this week selected 12 local projects to receive $7.4 million in federal grant funds during the next four years.

The planned improvements are all within Clark County, and will be implemented between 2016 and 2019, according to RTC. The largest award, $1.8 million, will help construct upgrades and a new bridge on Northeast 10th Avenue between Northeast 154th and 164th streets. Other projects include work on Northeast 119th Street, Northeast Highway 99, Fort Vancouver Way and elsewhere.

The RTC board also approved the 2016-2019 Transportation Improvement Program, which lays out $195 million in planned projects during the next four years.
